And of course congratulations to Mike who summited in a gargantuan marathon effort from camp 2 on Sunday morning. The weather forecast suddenly changed on Friday and his team had to leave and climb through the night to camp 3. They then had very little sleep there before having to continue on to the south col. They then left the south col that evening and Mike summited at 7.20am the next morning. What a man! Very very well done!

Unfortunately that was the last of the good weather window, which was why they had to sprint for the summit. So everyone is now descending the mountain. Mike left the south col this morning and should be at camp 2 now. He will make his last journey down through the icefall tomorrow.
